Each year the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes two outstanding individuals for their commitment to business and community.  These two award recipients will be honored, among others, at a premier awards dinner at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Friday, March 8th.  Event Details: http://tiny.cc/eventbobb

This year, we are honored to recognize Sandra Swinkunas with our Lifetime Achievement Award and Patricia Fiaccato with the Business Leadership Award.

Sandra Swinkunas, a resident of Bolingbrook since 1983, has served five consecutive terms as a Bolingbrook Village Trustee.  She taught in the Valley View School District for 24 years before retiring in 2004. For the past nine years, Swinkunas has enjoyed being a Substitute Teacher in the District.  She has been involved with many local organizations including the Valley View Educational Enrichment Foundation, Westbrook Christian Church, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation Fund Raising Committee, and the Will County Cares Advisory Group.

Patricia Fiaccato, a resident of Bolingbrook since 1981, opened her first business, Pat's Pals, in the Indian Oaks subdivision.  For 25 years that day care provided a safe nurturing educational environment for parents and families of Bolingbrook and the surrounding communities.  In 2003 the Fiaccato family purchased Nancy's Pizza in Bolingbrook and developed a Mission and Vision Statement to be an active community partner, specifically being involved in community organizations that benefit the youth of the community.  Pat has been involved with a long list of community organizations including the Rotary Club of Bolingbrook, Exchange Club of Bolingbrook, Kiwanis Club of Bolingbrook/Romeoville, Take Back the Night of Northern Will County, Bolingbrook Women's Club, Character Counts Coalition of Bolingbrook/Romeoville, and the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce.
