DuPage Township Turns Up the Heat

BOLINGBROOK, IL – On November 2nd, DuPage Township kicked off this year’s Low Income HomeEnergy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) by passing out 50 heaters and 50 humidifiers to LIHEAP applicants. LIHEAPprovides assistance with energy bills and non-functional heating systems to eligible residents. “It is gratifyingto be able to do this for the community,” said Township Supervisor Bill Mayer. “Through the generosity ofWalmart, who donated the heaters and humidifiers, we can help our residents who are struggling to provideheat for their families as we move into colder weather.”

Applications for the LIHEAP program are accepted at the DuPage Township office from 9:00 AM to 3:00PM every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, ending on May 31, 2013. For more information, call 630-759-1317or visit their website at: www.dupagetownship.com.
