Ghosts and Goblins Take Over DuPage Township’s Levy Center

BOLINGBROOK, IL – Over 140 pint-sized princesses, small-scale superheroes, and miniature monsters and their parents filled the Levy Senior Center on October 31st for DuPage Township’s fourth annual Intergenerational Halloween Party, sponsored in part by Costco.

Local children ages 0-5 enjoyed games, face-painting, snacks, and treats shared with the Levy Center’s seniors and other volunteers amid such spooky apparitions as giant-sized balloon spiders, jack-o-lanterns, and an antique hearse. The stage area was also transformed into a haunted house with shrieking ghosts, howling goblins, and moaning mummies.

“We had a great turnout today, bigger than last year,” said Anthony Morelli, Director of Youth Services. “It’stimes like these that have a direct effect on the public, because an event such as this provides memories for a lifetime!”

DuPage Township provides senior programs and youth activities throughout the year, as well as hosting a food pantry, offering housing and career counseling, and providing emergency assistance to township residents.
