It would be nice to see the breakdown for the "other" category. Like how much is pension, how much is cell phone...? Especially since some are under $2,000 and others are over $40,000.

These guys have a rough thankless job that I would never want to do. Both police and fire go to work everyday not knowing if they're going to come home that night. They work long hours, they work odd hours and they work holidays. I personally don't think any of these guys get paid enough for the work they do.

I don't have a problem with them making this money, they work hard to protect us.

Wow, silly me thought there would be bigger numbers here compared to the last list we got of people from water works and things. These men and ladies risk their life for us, and risk being taken from their families, so they can protect us. Thought maybe that would be worth more!!!
Maybe I'm crazy!!!

You are more likely to die driving a cab than a police cruiser - cool it with the "don't know if they'll make it home at night" stuff.
Also super cool to see all the women on this list, good to know it's not an old boy's club.

There are employees here that get paid less, than the guy that watches water flowing in the sewer system. Sorry, Police & Fire, but you guys deserve more.

Mayor is second on the list, with the water guys!! I'm sure he gets more kick back then it says.
I just meant they risk their life, sorry didn't mean to be negative about them coming home. You know what I meant. Just doesn't seem right!

I don't think this is our business! I have always been told to NOT discuss salary with peers. Now u have publicized it to the world. Not happy wih the Patch! Also, the work long hours. They put their lives in jeopardy to protect us. They deserve the pay

Geez, those base salaries seem low. I thought they did a little better than that. It appears some of them are really taking advantage of any available overtime (other) to get a decent paycheck. Good for them. When you do more with less, overtime is the by-product.
