Bolingbrook Police: Group Steals Mail, Liquor Stolen from Meijer

Car keyed, driving under the influence and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of November 17.

People steal mail 

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Bothwell Circle for the report of a theft, police said. Unknown subjects were seen removing mail from the homeowner’s mailbox without authorization at 1:05 p.m.

Liquor stolen from Meijer 

Officers were called to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft, police said. The suspect stole two bottles of liquor and exited the store without paying at 2:50 p.m.

Car keyed  

A vehicle parked on the 200 block of Shady Ln. was keyed on the hood and passenger side between 2 a.m. and 3 p.m., police said. 

Driving under the influence 

Girmai Lemma, 59, 491 Springwood Ln., was arrested at 6:33 a.m. and charged with two counts of DUI, improper lane usage and no insurance, following a traffic stop Boughton Road and Rockhurst Road, police said.

Brian Prtiz, 18, 136 Garden Dr., was arrested at 1:33 a.m. and charged with DUI, following a traffic stop at Veteran’s Parkway and Territorial Drive, police said.

Juan Robles, 21, 112 Fairwood Dr., was arrested at 4:52 a.m. and charged with DUI, following a traffic stop at Orchard Drive and Lily Cache Lane, police said.
