Chef Michael Niksic to Serve Up Cinco De Mayo Menu Ideas at Fountaindale

Attendees of the 'Cinco De Mayo for Everyone' program can sample fare such as chorizo refried beans, pico de gallo, yellow rice con pollo and oregano, and mole.

Saturday is Cinco De Mayo and if you’re planning a celebration and wondering what should be on the menu, look no further than Fountaindale Public Library.

Chef Michael Niksic will serve up some ideas from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

During the 'Cinco De Mayo for Everyone' program, he will offer food samples for tasting such as chorizo refried beans, pico de gallo, yellow rice con pollo and oregano, and easy mole with roast chicken, bell peppers and onion.

Library officials are excited to host Niksic.

"Our population is diverse so we like to offer programs that will help our community learn and appreciate other cultures,” said Maureen Garzaro, senior programming librarian at Fountaindale.

Registration is required for this event.
