Dangerously Cold Temperatures Expected in Bolingbrook Monday

Wind chills are expected to be well below zero Monday and early Tuesday in Bolingbrook, according to the National Weather Service.

 

It will be a cold and windy Martin Luther King Jr. holiday today across the Chicagoland region.

The National Weather Service issued a a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. tonight through 10 a.m. Tuesday. Wind chill temperatures could drop as low as -25 degrees, according to the weather service report.

Frostbite to exposed skin could occur in 30 minutes. 

Today's forecast calls for scattered flurries before 10 a.m. and highs around 12 degrees. Wind gusts could reach up to 30 mph.

Cold temperatures will continue through Tuesday with a high of 5 to 12 degrees and wind chills of up to -15 below, according to the report.
