Does Drew Peterson Have a 'Friend' in Sneed?

The county jail has Sun-Times columnist Michele "Michael" Sneed down as a friend of accused wife-killer Drew Peterson, but what does the future hold for them?

Back in June, when Drew Peterson's attorney Joel Brodsky accompanied columnist Michele "Michael" Sneed to the Will County Adult Detention Facility for a visit with the accused wife-killer, jail records listed the Sun-Times scribe as one of Peterson's "friends."

Now, a mere three months later, it looks like Peterson's going to find out if he walks free or he's prison bound for what will surely be the rest of his life.

So in the event Peterson's sprung and skates on the murder rap, will he and Sneed continue their friendship? How about if he's convicted and goes to the joint? Can he count on Sneed to be a prison pen pal?

Unfortunately, we may never know.

We called Sneed a couple times to ask, but have yet to hear back from her.

It looks like we'll just have to wait and see what happens after the verdict, which may come as early as Wednesday.

Until then, sit tight and keep an eye—or an ear—out for what Sneed is hearing.

Yep, Sneed sure did her best to help out the murder defendant and his blowhard lead attorney keep his name in the forefront, just when he'd begin to fizzle out. Wasn't it good of her to air his whiny, self-serving letters about his accommodations, his treatment and his perception of how mistreated his family was? I don't get that, though, since they all seem to be doing quite well now that he's out of the house. His son, Stephen, has a girlfriend to help him play house, his two (Savio) sons are doing extremely well school-wise, and even his little daughter is going to be attending a gifted school. We know all of this family personal stuff because she enlightened all of us with it when blabber mouth Brodsky fed it to her.

Wonder why she hasn't done a column yet about how not even one, nada, zippo, family member of Drew Peterson showed up in court today in support of him. Oh, wait, as Peterson would have us believe, they wanted to but he told them not to.

whichever way the jury decides, I am just glad that I won't have to look at his smug, smirking, self righteous ugly face any more.

Sneed's only interest in Peterson is in order to get a good story. She's only using him & Brodsky to get ahead in her job, as any journalist would.

Peterson's only friend is Brodsky.

It sells papers and that's what Sneed is interested in. I may even pick up a Sun Times after the conventions are over!!! If I do it will be just to read Sneed. I never thought much about it, but, why isn't the family there??? That does not look good for Drew even though there may be a great reason.
