I think that you should change the title of this article. I expected it to be a little information about each candidate. Not a list of who is on the ballot.

I agree with Tom. Just listing the names of the various candidates is not meeting them. I opened thevarticlevthinking there would be additional information about all the candidates or a date set for all the candidates to meet the public.

This is only the beginning of our coverage. We will send out candidate questionnaires to everyone and post those as we receive them.

I totally agree. If anything, I would love to see the educational and professional background of EVERY Village Board candidate.

Who has a financial background??? Other than Rick Morales, who else can honestly sift thru the Village financials and understand key economic issues.

Or will they leave it all up to Claar and Boan to point the way?

The same applies to VVSD. The school board manages more than $220 million. Which candidate(s) have a financial background? If not, which ones have the most experience serving on the board?

I say clear the entire board (with the exception of Liz Campbell because she loves the district deeply) and start over.

Rhonda,

You're now saying that we should vote for the people that have the more experience serving on the board?

I want more information on the candidates, where do I get it from?

Remember the VV School District incumbents gave $66,000 to the Supt. on a "verbal agreement".

Ugggh - If you vote in Chrystal Hansen, and Ronnie Bull, you are voting in a Claar controlled board. These same people are tied to special interest (i.e. Mitchem's $67k cash payout) and will not be working for the community.

They are committed to one agenda - Claar & Crew's agenda.

Wake up!

Don't forget, vote for the ones have the most experience serving on the board.

...that's right, Sunshine. Liz Campbell voted against the $67k windfall for Mitchem. Hansen & Bull tried to hide their true intentions. There is no hiding in politics.

I'm not sure where you get your "facts" from, but LIz Campbell did not vote against the payment and Hansen wasn't even at the meeting.

"School Board Members Venegas, Quigley, Gougis and Ronnie Bull voted in favor of the contract amendment. Campbell abstained from voting. Board Members Jim Curran and Chrystal Hansen were absent from the meeting. "

...ohhh, now this is getting good...

These are the facts, El Chumpo. Liz Campbell asked to have the vote placed on hold until the issue could be discussed in more detail. She was out voted by Claar's Crew (The First Party - Squigley, Gogilis, Bull and Venegas).

Hansen was conveniently absent from the vote. And failed to ever publicly take a stand. Now remember, she's also a member of Claar's Crew (The First Party). Why would she ever vote any different.

Curran had a legitimate reason for not being there. Although his position on that $67k windfall is public.

...I love this..

You can ass-ume all you want but the FACT (you like facts don't you?) remains that she did not vote against.

Now you're the judge to decide what a "good" reason is for not attending a meeting.

Look in the mirror to see who's trying to be a dictator!
