Rob Lowe to Play Drew Peterson in Lifetime Movie

Film to be based on Shorewood Patch Editor Joseph Hosey's book, 'Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Drew Peterson.'

Rob Lowe will play one of Bolingbrook's most famed residents — the alleged wife-killer Drew Peterson — in an upcoming Lifetime movie based on a book written by Shorewood Patch Editor Joseph Hosey.

According to Deadline.com, a Hollywood news Web site, the movie, tentatively titled The Drew Peterson Story or Ladykiller, will explore the two cases in which one of Peterson's wives was killed and another mysteriously disappeared.

Lowe, who most recently stars in the television show Parks and Recreation, will play Peterson while Kaley Cuoco, who stars in the show Big Bang Theory, is slated to play Stacy Peterson.

The movie will be based on Hosey's nonfiction book, Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Drew Peterson.

"I have to say, it's an interesting choice," Hosey said. "They're really going to have to ugly him up, but that's showbiz, I guess."

On June 7, Peterson's lawyers filed papers with an appellate court in Ottawa asking while three judges mull over what to do with the prosecution appeal.

An airing date for the movie has yet to be announced.
