Shots Fired Into Bolingbrook Home Leads To Arrest

A 40-year-old female and 32-year-old male were in the home at the time of the incident, police said. They were uninjured.

A man has been charged for allegedly firing a gun into a home on Father’s Day.

Michael Clanton, 19, 330 Homewood Drive, was arrested at about 4:20 a.m. Sunday and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and no FOID card, police said.

Prior to his arrest, officers responded to Derbyshire Court for the report of shots fired. They were told a black Chevy Tahoe or Suburban was seen leaving the area.

Upon arrival, police saw a bullet hole in the siding of a home and found a spent round lying on the floor in the bedroom. There was also one round located stuck in the siding of the garage, police said.

A short time later, a patrol officer saw a vehicle matching the description driving down Falconridge Way. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, which subsequently led to the recovery of a .25 caliber handgun and two magazines, police said.

Clanton was taken into custody, processed and subsequently transported to Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Police said the case still remains under investigation.
