The Friday Food Critic: Osaka Grill & Supreme Buffet

Each week we nominate a new restaurant for you to review. That's right, you're the local expert.

When it comes to restaurants, Bolingbrook has it covered.

We have some great local places that many would consider community gems; we have some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area; and we certainly—for better or for worse—have plenty of chains lining our main streets.

But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not.

That's where you come in.

We're not egotistical enough to tell you what restaurants you do and don't like. It's your community. You eat the food. You tell us if it passes the mark.

That's why we run The Friday Food Critic, where each week, we put a different restaurant on the chopping block. You tell us how you feel about it, what dishes are good, who has the best drink specials and so forth.

This week we ask your opinion on Osaka Grill & Supreme Buffet, Bolingbrook's newest Asian/American buffet.

Osaka Grill specializes in Japanese, Chinese, American and multicultural cuisine, and offers a Hibachi-style grill.

Here's what John & Deb Blumenstein, a Bolingbrook reader, had to say about Osaka Grill:

Osaka Grill is really a big place! Wouldn't know it from the entry way. Food is plentiful & fresh. Enough variety for even the little ones. Enjoyed the sushi, too. Only suggestion is that they should have more food signs, since there is such a variety to choose from & folks may not know what some of the selections are. Prices are very reasonable.

To review Osaka Grill, simply click on their name (or THIS LINK). You'll be directed toward their community listing in our business directory, where you can rate them on a five-star system and write a personal review.

At Bolingbrook Patch, we believe your words of wisdom are better than any food critic.

What are you waiting for? Let the reviewing begin!

About this column: If there's one thing Bolingbrook's not short on, it's places to find some grub. Each week, we'll open up the book on one of Bolingbrook's dozens of restaurants so you, the reader, can tell us what it's really like. I was at this restaurant last week. I had a coupon for a dollar off at lunch time, spent the entire afternoon there eating sushi, chicken wings, egg rolls, stir fry, general chow chicken, pizza, polish sausage, prime rib, fried rice, fried shrimp, fried won ton, fried fish, fried chicken and then I moved onto the dessert table, chocolate cake, cookies, ice cream, pudding, coconut cake, and more ice cream. I did not bother with the salad bar. In total I spent $6.50 and that included a tip.

Bonnie Baumgartner, I saw you there. What you ate was way less then your brother Erich or your daughter Elisabeth. Man can that girl eat!

My last name is not Baumgartner and I don't have a daughter named Elizabeth. You probably have seen me around town in a fast food place like White Castles or JJ's fish. I'm 5.2 and 210 pounds. So I like to eat, BIG deal!

Why are you to making rude comments about a child?
