Battery
Officers responded to Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a battery, police said. Suspect punched the victim after a verbal argument at 10:20 p.m.
Possession of marijuana, drug equipment
Christopher Baggett, 29, 307 E. Kankakee River Dr., Wilmington, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Drive and I-55, police said.
Retail theft
Officers were called to the 300 block of S. Schmidt Road for the report of a retail theft, police said. Someone entered the business, stole several items of merchandise and left the store without paying at 9 p.m. The loss was valued at $90.
Burglary to motor vehicle
Officers responded to the 500 block of Cumberland Lane for the report of a burglary to motor vehicle, police said. Someone used a brick to break a car window and stole a purse and GPS unit between 11:40 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.
Unlawful use of weapon
Tariq Smith, 19, 1 Red Bud Ct., was arrested at 1:09 a.m. and charged with unlawful use of weapon, after a call to the 1600 block of Maroon Bells for suspicious activity, police said.
Trailer stolen from parking lot
A 2012 white Stoughton trailer was stolen from a parking lot on the 200 block of W. South Frontage Road between Feb. 9 and 16, police said.
In-state warrants
Timothy Laughran, 25, 829 Alcos St., Melrose Park, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. and charged with two in-state warrants on the 300 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive, police said.
In-state warrant
Gilberto Zavala, 18, 160 Malibu Dr., was arrested at 9:55 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant in Lot E of Beaconridge Drive, police said.
In-state warrant
Antonio Lara, 20, 300 Woodcreek Dr., was arrested at 6:51 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Coventry Drive and Veterans Parkway, police said.
