Hello World! It's My First Blog!

Hi blog enthusiasts of Bolingbrook Patch!

Welcome to my first blog post!

I am currently a student at Lewis University majoring in public relations. I plan to graduate in May. I am from the Show-Me state (Missouri), but have grown up in the Bolingbrook-area.

I would love to break out in to the photography field, I am just not sure how to do it. This is my first shot at making my pictures public.

I always have my camera on me. I have a Sony Cybershot digital camera, but I am finally hoping to purchase a DSLR sometime soon.

Warm weather is my friend, so it's no surprise that I enjoy taking pictures of beaches and palm trees. Even though there are neither of those two in Bolingbrook, there are plenty of fountains and ponds.

This is my first blog so please be kind. I took these pictures about a month or so ago at Hidden Lakes. The fall colors were too pretty to pass up. Now these trees are bare. It won't be long until snow and ice cover the branches and it will be time to hibernate for winter!

As for a set topic for my blog, I do not have one yet so please bare with me. I am open to comments and suggestions to improve. I look forward to sharing and spreading ideas in the online photography world.

TY for the lovely fall photos, Carolyn.
Ironically, on Schmidt Rd., there was one tree, full and rounded, with vivid red and orange leaves. We passed it every day on our way to visit our son at the hospital. It seemed like a message from God of beauty and gentle rightness. Our son is now home and that tree is bare, but the visual memory remains. TY for sustaining those quiet memories.
