The Right and Wrong Way to Do the Afternoon 'Perk Up'

I am a regular Staples customer, and as much as I LOVE Staples for all my office needs, I don't love them for their nutrition advice.

This is the inside spread of the September Staples catalog. Other than with water, the only “Perking up” happening with these products will be your blood sugar levels and your scales!

When you need a little afternoon “fix”, reach for:
•    Fresh fruit and veggies
•    Raw, unsalted nuts and seeds
•    Hummus or guacamole
•    Green tea (with honey)
•    Plain yogurt with fruit/honey
•    Dark chocolate - 85% or higher cacao

Perking up with these items will just make you fat, cranky and unproductive.

But, page 14 does have some neat notebooks and journals. :)
