Some April 2013 ballots contain two errors for the Bolingbrook Park District Board of Commissioners race.
Voters will see two errors on the April 2013 ballot when they go to the polls Tuesday. Both errors fall under the section of the Bolingbrook Park District Board of Commissioners. The ballot lists three candidates and asks you to vote for three. The candidates are Denise Allen, Melissa McCloud and Ken McConnaughay. Voters will only elect two candidates to the park district board, and there are only two candidates running for those positions. McConnaughay dropped out of the race due to work, Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar wrote in his endorsement of Bolingbrook candidates. Read all of our April 2013 Bolingbrook election coverage here.

Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar has $530,000 at his disposal in the "Citizens for Claar" committee registered with the Illinois State Board of Election, according to the most recent records from the Illinois State Board of Election website. If elected, he would sit behind the dais for two school districts' school board meetings. Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar announces his picks for the DuPage Township and the Valley View School District 365U and Plainfield 202 school board elections.
In a letter to residents, Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar declared his picks for the DuPage Township and Valley View School District 365U school board elections. "Typically these April elections have less than 15% of the people voting out of our population of 74,000," Claar wrote. "(With the low voter numbers your vote will truly make a difference.)" No forum has been scheduled ahead of the April 9 election. Should the Valley View school board candidates have participated in a debate or forum?
Four of the eight seats on the Valley View School District 365U school board will be up for grabs April 9. You can read more about each candidate in our candidate questionnaires below. With Election Day just a week away, no candidate forum for Valley View school board candidates has been scheduled. Candidates at Plainfield 202, Oswego 308 and other school districts have already discussed their positions on a variety of issues at such forums. Ballseck, It takes a lot of courage for an individual to put their name on a ballot. Regardless of party affiliations...this town is a wonderful place to live.
