Bolingbrook Resident Selected for Membership in The National Society of High School Scholars

Bolingbrook resident and Plainfield East High School student Lauren Ransom has joined an elite academic class. She recently was selected to become a member of The National Society of High School Scholars, according to a news release.
The Society—formed in 2002—recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment. Membership entitles Ransom to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities and academic competitions.
“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Lauren (Ransom) has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” said NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel in a news release. “Lauren is now a member of a unique community of scholars—a community that represents our very best hope for the future."
