Fountaindale Library Celebrates Re-Opening of Studio 300

Plus, local headlines that didn't make today's newsletter.

Studio 300 is back in business. And, to mark the occasion, the folks at Bolingbrook’s Fountaindale Public Library are hosting a re-opening celebration from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, on the library’s lower level, 300 W. Briarcliff Road.

The studio closed following an April rain deluge that caused flooding throughout the Chicagoland area and damaged carpeting, drywall, sound studios and a multi-use video recorder at the new $3 million facility.

Studio 300 was closed for nearly six months before re-opening in late-September. The cost of repairs was estimated at $575—much of which will be picked up by insurance—according to a Shaw Media report.
