Retired Choir Director Will Lead Holiday Sing-Along at Tibbott Book Fair

Thirteen is Tibbott Elementary School’s lucky number. Has to be.

The annual Tibbott Elementary School Barnes & Noble Book Fair is Friday, Dec. 13, at The Promenade Bolingbrook store, according to a Valley View School District news release.

The event—which runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m.—will include gift wrapping by Tibbott staff, free bookmark crafting and gourmet cupcake decorating for a small fee. Also, Erin The Elf will be on hand serving food at the Barnes & Noble Cafe and leading storytime at 8 p.m.

Karen Colburn, retired teacher and choir director, will lead a holiday sing-along from 7 to 7:30 p.m. And students who attend will earn a special Tiger Paw.

OAK VIEW BOOK FAIR: Oak View Elementary School’s Barnes & Noble Book Fair is Tuesday, Dec. 10, according to a Valley View School District news release. The event begins at 6 p.m.

The school choir will perform holiday carols at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. And a portion of all proceeds will be donated to Oak View as long as Barnes & Noble customers indicate they are supporters of the school.
