Tell Your Tale: Wood View School Officials Seek Career Day 'Presenters'

Plus, local headlines that didn't make today's newsletter.

Do you have a story to tell? And, really, who doesn’t?

Then, officials at Wood View Elementary School in Bolingbrook would like to invite you to be a “presenter” at their annual Career Day celebration on Friday, Oct. 18.

“We want all of our students to be college and career ready by the time they graduate from high school,” Wood View Assistant Principal Tiffany Russell said in a news release issued by the Valley View School District. “With our community’s help, we hope to give them a head start on understanding potential career paths and set goals for their future.”

Russell said qualified teachers on the Wood View staff are available to help presenters with ideas.

“To an impressionable young child, everyone’s job is amazing,” Russell said. “So, don’t think that your job is too dull or boring to be a presenter.”
