Sound too good to be true? Well, it's not.
The Gordon Biersch Restaurant & Brewery in Bolingbrook will be the site of a Feb. 3 fundraiser to support the drive to secure funds for an acoustical sound shell in the Bolingbrook High School auditorium, according to a Valley View School District news release.
The fundraiser will take place between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Participants are asked to make it known to the staff at Gordon Biersch they are there to support the acoustical sound shell fund drive. There also will be raffles and prizes.
The BHS Music Department is trying to raise $110,000 to take the BHS auditorium "to the next level of acoustic professionalism," according to fundraiser co-chair Diane Parro.
Donation information is available by going to the fundraiser's website: http://bhsacousticalshellproject.com/
Gordon Biersch is located on the south end of The Promenade Bolingbrook, 639 E. Boughton Road.
