The National Weather Service Chicago is calling for areas of blowing snow—and low visibility on some roads—Friday night while temperatures hold steady or climb slightly toward morning.
Then, on Saturday, there is a 60-70 percent chance of more snow as temperatures continue to climb, reaching 30, before the bottom falls out.
On Sunday, more snow is likely as temperature readings drop from a daytime high of 10 to a nighttime low of minus-18, and that's not factoring in the wind chill readings. And temperatures are expected to remain in the sub-zero range until Wednesday.
