Summer's Last Blast Complete Schedule of Event

, the park district's annual end-of-summer celebration, is set for Saturday and thousands of residents figure to benefit from tons of great events and (cross your fingers) beautiful weather.

According to the park district's website, the event kicks off with Parkie's 5K Family Fun Run/Walk at 8 a.m. at the and ends with a fireworks show beginning at 8:30 p.m. at .

In between, the park district has loads of family fun set for the entire day.

And apparently, Mother Nature is a Bolingbrook Park District fan. According to the National Weather Service, Saturday's forecast is sunny with a high near 81 degrees. Saturday evening, meanwhile, is clear with a low around 60 degrees.
