Winter Weather is Coming: Expect Cold, Fog, Snow This Week

Bundle up: Temperatures are expected to drop starting Wednesday night.

Winter weather is on its way: The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Will County.

According to the NWS, area residents can expect fog Wednesday afternoon and evening, with possible widespread dense fog and visibility near zero.

According to Joliet Weather Center, you should enjoy the relative warmth while it lasts: after hitting a low in the 30s Wednesday night, it's unlikely that temperatures will get back up into the 50s anytime soon.

Thursday's anticipated high in Bolingbrook is 30 degrees, and temperatures aren't expected to get above the 20s through Sunday. Next week could be even colder, with highs in the teens Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is also a chance of light accumulating snow across the entire region late Sunday and Sunday night.
