A Bolingbrook resident will get her turn in the limelight Monday on ABC's "Wheel of Fortune."
Octavia Treadway will appear on the show, airing at 6:25 p.m. on ABC-7.
"We're super excited," husband Ken Treadway said Monday.
Octavia's trip to spin the wheel as been a long time coming.
"I have watched 'Wheel of Fortune' since I can remember and I have always wanted to be on the show," she said.
A year and a half ago, Octavia said she answered a casting call, sending in a video of herself to the show's producers.
She learned last year that she'd been chosen to appear on the long-running game show.
In November, she flew out to California to film her appearance.
Octavia said she was initially a bit nervous. Luckily, she got to watch the crew film a few episodes before it was her turn to put her puzzle-solving skills to good use.
"It was actually really natural," she said. "It wasn't nerve-wracking at all."
Treadway said hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White made her feel right at home.
"Pat is super clever and witty and he makes you feel really comfortable," Octavia said.
