As an author, Turner has brought us a new awareness about the lives and contributions of African-Americans. Her emphasis on Sat. will be The Underground Railroad which allowed slaves to secretly, under great peril, make their way to Canada and freedom, housed by brave people both black and white, along the way.

She has information about such a house located in Bolingbrook; bringing history home to us. Don't miss this chance to witness a piece of history and take home one of her books. http://www.friendshipchurchumc.org/
