A Collective Day of Remembrance

Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Temple B'nai Israel, Aurora, IL

2012 is Raoul Wallenberg Year

In order to participate in the newly announced designation by the Swedish Government of 2012 as Raoul Wallenberg Year, we will be featuring the film titled 'Raoul Wallenberg Buried Alive.'

Raoul Wallenberg, a wealthy Swedish Protestant personally saved the lives of 100,000 Hungarian Jews from the Nazi Holocaust. In accomplishing this feat, Wallenberg himself disappeared into the unfathomable labyrinth of the Soviet Prisons. This year was chosen because it is the 100th anniversary of his birth. Wewill also highlight the role of Righteous Gentiles during the Holocaust.

There is no cost for this event.
