THE PROMENADE BOLINGBROOK TO HOST FASHION’S NIGHT OUT & FINAL PROJECT STYLE “STYLE-OFF” CONTEST

The fourth annual Fashion’s Night Out will take place at The Promenade Bolingbrook on September 6, 2012 at 6 p.m.  The event welcomes fashionistas from all over Chicagoland and offers opportunities for them to show off their style while enjoying a plethora of fashion related contests, giveaways, samples and services as well as sets the stage for final Style-Off Contest of Project Style 2012.  

The Promenade Bolingbrook is one of fifteen Forest City shopping centers around the country hosting a Fashions Night Out and Project Style Contest, an award-winning fashion competition that allows participants to show off their unique style and have a chance to win thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes, including a trip to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.

Nationally renowned fashion experts Jeannie Mai and Nick
Verreos will visit some of the shopping centers to help find the next Project Style winner, who will be chosen in a National Style-Off competition later this year.  Mai is best known as the host of the two-time Emmy nominated How Do I Look? program on the Style Network.  She also appears frequently as a contributor on NBC’s Today Show and E! News, and is the social media correspondent for NBC’s Fashion Star. Verreos’s fashion design label NIKOLAKI has been worn by some of Hollywood’s top celebrities, has appeared as a fashion expert on the Bravo, E!, Style and TV Guide networks as well as competing on Season Two of Project Runway.

Since April 2012 selected semi-finalists were given the
challenge to create the most stylish outfit that represents their sense of style and creativity with a $150 Promenade gift card. All purchases came from The Promenade’s retailers and semi-finalists were allowed to tie in one item from their personal closet.  A brief video and photos of their outfit were posted on the center’s web site and Facebook page. Fans were eligible to vote for their favorite trendsetter each month during the live voting segment of the on-line competition.

The final Style Off contestants includes residents from
Bolingbrook, Brookfield, and Naperville. There will also be one “Wild Card” chosen from the pool of semifinalists who were not selected for the finals. The contestants will be judged by local fashion experts:

• Jenny Pfanenstiel, Owner and Couture Milliner of Formé Millinery,  ww.formemillinery.com. 

One winner will be named The Promenade Bolingbrook’s Top Trendsetter and receive a $1,000 center shopping spree as well as a chance to compete in the 2012 National Project Style Style-Off, judged by Nick Verreos and Jeannie Mai for a chance to win the Grand Prize of attending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City in February 2013!  Attendees of Fashion’s
Night Out will have an opportunity to vote for one contestant to win the People’s Choice Award of a $200 Promenade gift card. 

The event is free to attend and will offer many amenities
including mini makeovers, manicures, best shoe contest sponsored by Bakers Shoes (prizes $25 - $100) and  chance to win one of fifty *Promenade Goodie Bags (Must be over 16 to enter. Goodie bags will be given away through-out the night and will include a gift card for The Promenade Bolingbrook and other surprises including retailer gift cards).
