1,100 Apply for Chick-fil-A Jobs in Bolingbrook

See how many landed a position at Chick-fil-A's newest location in Bolingbrook.

About 1,100 people applied for jobs at Chick-fil-A, according to franchise owner Mark E. Stearns. 

From the hundreds of applicants, 70 people were initially hired for positions. Those 70 were chosen mainly for their attitude, Stearns said. 

"For a lot of them, this is their first job," he said. "We'll focus on the right work ethic and how to work together as a team."

Stearns said Chick-fil-A's goal is to teach its employees how to serve.

"We want to ensure our customers receive excellent service -- service they'll remember," he said. "We want people to leave so happy that they will remark how delicious the food is and how well they were treated." 

Bolingbrook's Chick-fil-A has joined the . Stearns plans to become more involved with the community as time goes on. 

"We've received outstanding support," Stearns said. "We're very happy. Not only is the food fantastic, but the hospitality is very heart-warming."
