Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital to Celebrate Fifth Anniversary

Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital opened in Bolingbrook on Jan. 14, 2008.

Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital will soon celebrate its fifth anniversary in Bolingbrook. 

The hospital opened on Jan. 14, 2008. At the time, it was the first new hospital to open in Illinois in more than 25 years, according to a release. 

Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital includes 138 beds, 106 of them medical/surgical, 20 in obstetrics and 12 in intensive care. The 300,000-square-foot facility also includes a Level II trauma center.

The hospital will hold an official celebration Jan. 21. More than 70 area and hospital officials are expected to attend, including Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Chief Executive Officer Rick Mace, Bolingbrook Deputy Mayor Leroy Brown and Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Jolene Albaugh.
