Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce to Honor Georgia Gilligan; Local Fundraisers Planned

A resident of Bolingbrook for 26 years, Gilligan will be honored at a luncheon on Wednesday.

Georgia Gilligan is a small business owner, a camp counselor, a youth minister and has done mission work in Mexico, Chicago and New Jersey. She lives in Bolingbrook with her husband of 31 years, Thomas. She has homeschooled four children and now has three grandchildren, with a fourth on the way.

Gilligan will be presented with a community leadership award at a Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday at Ashbury's at Boughton Ridge.

  • Bar Louie, in the Bolingbrook Promenade, is hosting a grand re-opening, complete with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. April 4. The bar will have $2 martini specials, live entertainment and free appetizers.
  • Gordon Biersch, in the Bolingbrook Promenade will host its April Tap Party to benefit the March of Dimes walk, which will take place April 28. For more information on the event, including the raffle prizes, click here.
