Bolingbrook Company's Ad Scores With Super Bowl Viewers

The ad ranked 28th among viewers on Sunday.

A budding friendship between an adorable puppy and one of Budweiser's beloved Clydesdales was tough to beat, but a Bolingbrook company's Super Bowl ad ranked high with viewers on Sunday.

WeatherTech's "You Can't Do That" ad rated a 5.58 on USA Today's Super Bowl Ad Meter, following commercials from companies including Chobani, Jaguar and Coca-Cola.

The rating meant WeatherTech's ad ranked 28th in USA Today's results, which gauge viewer reaction.

The 30-second spot, which ran during the second quarter, featured actors declaring "You Can't Do That" in America when it comes to business — but WeatherTech defies the naysayers, according to the spot.

WeatherTech, part of Bolingbrook's MacNeil Automotive Industries, recently expanded, tripling space at its 410 Woodcreek Dr. facility.

"We had a big party at our WeatherTech Retail Store, and it was a proud moment for everyone involved when 12 minutes into the second quarter the spot ran," CEO David MacNeil told PR Newswire. "We are seeing a huge influx of support for our Made in America message as well as the appreciation from existing customers over social media about the quality, and how much they like our products."
