Dream Gay Weddings is a Michigan-based company that helps celebrate civil unions on the first day that gay marriage or civil unions become available in a particular state.

Dream Gay Weddings was also scheduled to partner with the  hotel for a fundraiser that would benefit the It Gets Better Project, an organization that supports young people who are lesbian, gay, bi, or trans that have been picked on or bullied.

Hooten said that event is also unlikely to be held.
