Bolingbrook Promenade to Sell for $80 Million

The shopping center will reportedly remain open during the transition.

Starwood Retail Partners will pay more than $80 million for the 628,000-square-foot Bolingbrook Promenade, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

That's less than the $100 million asking price set last summer, as well as the $152 million invested by current owner Forest City Enterprises when it opened the mall in 2007.

The sale includes retailers including Barnes & Noble and Bass Pro Shops, but not Macy's which operates on land it owns near the shopping center.

The deal will reportedly close this spring.
