Bolingbrook 4 Kids, St. Baldrick's Fundraiser at Bolingbrook Golf Club - Saturday, March 24th

St. Baldrick’s is the World’s Largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for Childhood Cancer Research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity for children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from family, friends and local businesses.

“Bolingbrook 4 Kids” Event is one of Illinois LARGEST St. Baldrick’s events and continues to grow each year. Hosted since 2007 annually by the Bolingbrook Police & Fire Departments and The Promenade Bolingbrook, Bolingbrook 4 Kids was ranked 20th in the WORLD out of over 500 events worldwide in 2011 and traditionally surpasses all fundraising goals by tens of thousands of dollars.

The St. Baldrick’s Bolingbrook 4 Kids event will take place at Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Drive, Bolingbrook, IL on Saturday, March 24, 2012 and is always open and free to the community. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., opening ceremonies start at 6:30 p.m. with shaving starting at 7:30 p.m. Funds will be raised by volunteers from Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Romeoville and surrounding areas who shave their heads and through sales of food & drink purchases, raffle tickets and a silent auction.

Music/Live Entertainment will be provided by Music Mania, The Weber Irish Dancers and The Bolingbrook Fire Pipes and Drums. Food sponsors include Promenade Bolingrbrook Restaurants including Gordon Biersch, Francesca’s, bd Mongolian Grill, Go Roma, Bar Louie and Vintage Sweets.

Sondra Solarte, Good Day Chicago/Fox News Reporter will emcee the 2012 Bolingbrook 4 Kids St. Baldrick’s Event as well as start the evening by singing the National Anthem. The event will honor numerous children with cancer along with their families. Families that have lost their children to cancer will also be present and honored. It’s a great way to be part of the “Fight” against pediatric cancer!
