Five Things to Know This Weekend: May 4-6

1. Celebration time

A grandopening celebration for  in Bolingbrook, which is under new management, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, and include coffee, refreshments, promotions and prizes. Curves, the largest fitness franchise in the world and the first to offer a 30-minute exercise program designed exclusively for women, is located at 489 W. Boughton Road. 2. Ole!

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The drop-in event will include music, a movie and Mexican snacks. Visit the library's website for more information.

3. Do some good

The Goodwill Store and Donation Center in Bolingbrook will host an electronics recycling drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, 123 S. Weber Road. Bring in old printers, monitors, hard drives, keyboards and more and the company will dispose of them for free in an eco-friendly to keep them out of the landfills.

4. I will survive

Professional survivalist Creek Stewart will be in Bolingbrook from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at , where he will be teaching audiences about survival preparation. The event is part of Creek's national tour for his forthcoming book, Build the Perfect Bug-Out Bag: Your 72-Hour Disaster Survival Kit, which walks readers through every step of survival preparation. 5. The sound of music

The Bolingbrook Community Chorus will present "Let Us Entertain You!," with songs from movies, theater and television at 2 p.m. Sunday, at , 180 N. Weber Road, Bolingbrook. Admission is free. Donations will benefit the Bolingbrook Community Chorus.
