Found it on Etsy: Lace Embroidered Lap Scarf

In pursuit of her passion, a local woman has become something of a sewing machine.

A local woman who says she loves to sew in her spare time nowadays is putting some spare change in her pocket, too.

“I’ve always had a passion for sewing,” said the Romeoville owner of MzDeesDesigns, an online Etsy store.

She is selling one of her lace embroidered lap scarves for $20. And I Found it on Etsy.

Mz. Dee says this of the hand-made item:

“Lace embroidered Charmuse lap scarves are traditionally used by women to cover their knees. However, these simple scarves also make an excellent accessory or gift—they can be rolled up, tucked into a handbag and pulled out whenever needed.”

Mz. Dee will customize a scarf just for you.

“Pick your color of choice for the scarf, pick your color of choice for the embroidery and your color of choice for the lace,” she says. “Please include up to three letters you would like to add to your lap scarf.”

Each of her scarves measures 24x24. She opened her Etsy store in July 2013.
