Landlord's Lawsuit Says Bolingbrook Tilted Kilt Short on Rent

The Bolingbrook Tilted Kilt's landlord wants at least $100,000 in back rent, according to a lawsuit.

The Bolingbrook Tilted Kilt is at least $100,000 behind in its rent, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County court.

The Tilted Kilt's landlord, DW Bolingbrook LLC, brought the lawsuit against its tenant and two men, John Bobak and John P. Bobak. The Bobaks are responsible for the rent, according to the lawsuit.

The Bolingbrook Tilted Kilt's website lists the restaurant's general manager as John Bobak. A message left for the general manager was not returned Friday.

The Tilted Kilt opened about two years ago near the intersection of Weber Road and Remington Boulevard.

The "Tilted Kilt concept has its roots deep in the rousing tradition of Scottish, Irish and English Pubs," according to the company's website, but "it actually first came to life in America’s own sin city, Las Vegas."

The lawsuit lists unpaid rent for each of the last 11 months, including this month, but noted some of the rent was paid in October.
