Bolingbrook

WHAT: Visitors to the Promenade can find everything from pastas and salsa to gourmet olive oil and farm-fresh produce from the market's more than 30 vendors. The market also coincides with the free Main Street summer concert series, allowing visitors to enjoy a festive atmosphere, as well as non-food vendors every second Thursday of each month.

WHAT: Visitors can expect a wide selection of local products, with not only fresh vegetables, fruits and meats, but french pastries, artisan breads, soaps, flowers and plants as well.

Minooka

WHAT: The farmers market in Minooka has everything—from purses sold to raise money to benefit women's education, to a booth with hand-sewn water bottle holders, to everyone’s favorite Girl Scout Cookies. The farmers market also has fresh produce already this season, some grown in a hydroponic greenhouse. More vendors will be at the market as the summer continues and the season warms.

Naperville


WHAT: Held at the historical Riverview Farmstead, the market highlights locally-grown items, as well as historical demonstrations performed by Naper Settlement, and plenty of special events, including hay rides June 16, a petting zoo July 21 and a tractor show Aug. 18. Plus, each week spotlights a different fruit or vegetable.

WHAT: With 25 vendors signed up, the market promises a variety of products, including plants and flowers at the start of summer and an array of fresh produce towards the end of the month. Visitors can expect a large turnout and a changing lineup of farmers and vendors from week to week.

WHAT: Freedom Commons hosts its second annual summer market after a successful run last year with the We Grow Dreams Greenhouse and Garden Center. Helping not-for-profit organizations, visitors can purchase items such as coffee gift packs from Arbor Vitae and pet treats to benefit a variety of groups, including Misericordia Heart of Mercy and A.D.O.P.T Pet Shelter, as well as enjoy We Grow Dreams' array of hanging baskets, fresh grown produce and gift items.

WHAT: With 36 registered vendors, the Oswego Country Market invites the community to taste locally grown produce, naturally raised meats, Wisconsin cheese and more. Visitors can also peruse the handmade items, from jewelry and candles to soaps and lotions.

WHAT: An open air market at the heart of Historic Downtown Plainfield, the Plainfield Farmers Market allows more than 30 local vendors to share fresh produce and hand crafted goods from local farms and artisans.

WHAT: With around 20 vendors each week, the market offers the community a wide selection of produce, plants, coffee and more. Because the vendors change week to week, visitors can expect a variety of vendors, including ones for baked goods or salsa or even a blacksmith.
