Starbucks, Baskin Robbins Among Cleanest Restaurants in Bolingbrook

Two Bolingbrook restaurants stand above the rest when it comes to cleanliness. 

and the  at 395 S. Bolingbrook Drive were the only two restaurants in Bolingbrook to receive perfect scores on their latest Will County Food Service Establishment Inspection Report, a Bolingbrook Patch investigation shows.

and , in fact, were mainstays on the village's cleanest restaurants. All three locations received a sanitation score above 90 while both Dunkin' Donuts locations scored above 95.

Bolingbrook Patch obtained the health inspection reports for every restaurant within village limits through a Freedom of Information request. 

The scores may surprise frequent visitors to some of Bolingbrook's most popular restaurants.

For the most part, Bolingbrook restaurants fared well—all but four scored above a 70 on a 100-point scale. In most cases, restaurants scored between an 80 and 90. 

But many high-profile Bolingbrook restaurants such as , , , , , , and rated in the bottom third of restaurants inspected in terms of original sanitation scores.

Francesca's, for instance, received a sanitation score of 76 after its Feb. 14 inspection. Among the restaurant's 23 violations included storing chemical spray bottles with aluminum foil pans, a heavily soiled soda gun behind the bar, no soap at the bar hand sink and storing a spray bottle full of sanitizer with clean plates.

Francesca's did receive a corrected score of 78—a corrected score is a second chance of sorts, given to restaurants after they are presented with initial findings.

In some cases restaurants had yet to receive their corrected score in their 2011 inspection because the inspection was so recent. Therefore, Bolingbrook Patch looked mainly at the original sanitation score.

Branmor's, meanwhile, received an original sanitation score of 79, with 25 violations. Among those violations: a soiled inside to the ice cream freezer, a soiled soda gun and dirty undercompartments to the restaurant's fryer.

Branmor's received a corrected score of 82.
