Today’s exercise takes a standard side plank and adds movement. Get yourself set in the side plank position, supporting your body on one outstretched arm and with your feet stacked on top of one another.

If balance is a real challenge for you in this position, offset your feet by placing both on the floor with the heel of your forward foot next to the toes of the back foot to give yourself more support. Place your top hand behind your head with the elbow up high. Rotate your body, bringing your top elbow down to the midpoint of the arm that’s bracing your body. Repeat for your desired number of repetitions and then switch to the opposite side.
