FBI Offers $10K Reward for Former Bolingbrook Man

The FBI's Chicago office is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Ruben Sanchez, 38, who formerly lived in the 100 block of South Pinecrest Road in Bolingbrook.

Sanchez is wanted for possession and distribution of child pornography. Special agents assigned to the FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force have targeted Sanchez since February 2009, when he was charged in federal court with one count of possession of child pornography, a felony.

 A  laptop computer and 29 CDs allegedly belonging to Sanchez were found in a Bolingbrook home in 2008, according to a press release issued today by FBI Special Agent Ross Rice.

 Investigators said the laptop and CDs contained images of children engaged in explicit sexual activity and lewd photos of children.

FBI investigators say forensic evidence links Sanchez to the computer and CDs and Sanchez had forwarded the pornographic images to others, resulting in the distribution charge, also a felony.

Sanchez is described as an Hispanic male with medium build, black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’7” and weighs 140 pounds. Investigators believe he has short hair, a neatly trimmed beard and mustache and a spider tattoo on his forearm.

FBI officials say Sanchez has worked as a bouncer or bartender in nightclubs in Chicago’s Rush Street area. In addition to Bolingbrook and Chicago, he has ties to Bensenville and Matteson.

 If convicted of the charges, Sanchez faces up to 30 years in prison.
