1. Celebrate Pakistani Independence Day at the Village Town Center

Bolingbrook’s Association for Pakistani Americans will hold its 20th annual Pakistan Independence Day celebration at the Bolingbrook Town Center on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

More than 10,000 people from across the midwest are expected to help join in on the celebration, said Association for Pakistani Americans founder Talat Rashid.

Admission is free and Raheem Shah, a Pakistani pop singer, is scheduled to perform.
