1. Drew Peterson Case in Jeopardy Following Hearsay Evidence Ruling

The high-profile murder case against alleged wife-killer Drew Peterson may never make it to trial, experts say, after a court agreed prosecutors shouldn't be allowed to use certain hearsay statements as evidence, according to a Huffington Post report.

A Will County appellate court by prosecutors to use hearsay evidence against Peterson, a disgraced former Bolingbrook police sergeant charged with killing one wife and suspected by the state cops of having a hand in the death of another.

Any hopes Peterson may harbor of altogether averting a trial in Savio's death may be well founded, some observers say.

"It sounds like a lot of this was at the crux of their case," Chicago attorney Michael Helfand said about the statements excluded by the courts. "If they don't have anything more – like eye witnesses or good forensics, which they don't – then how can you not drop this case?"

2. A Mid-Summer's Knight Read Lock-In at Fountaindale

The will host a Renaissance Fair family lock-in featuring juggling, games, snacks and more.

The Chicago Swordplay Guild will exhibit a live medieval weapons demo. There will be an emcee who is a serious historian. Attendees will learn the history of the spear, the medieval longsword, early Renaissance arming sword, and the Renaissance rapier. There will be demonstrations of each weapon.

A mystical labyrinth will also be available for tours.

The event will also feature a costume contest.

The event is for children ages five and up. No adults will be permitted without children. Children fifth grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required.
