It's a special Ladies Night Out/Chicks Are Funny Comedy Show at , featuring headliner Patti Vasquez (TBS's "The Very Funny Show") and special guest Tiffany Ellen, hosted by Bert Borth.

This special Wednesday night show promises to be a hoot so grab your best girl friends and come on out! But it's not just for the ladies—real men think chicks are funny too!

Admission is $12 and doors open at 7 p.m. The show begins at 8 p.m.

2. 

The Bolingbrook American Legion Post 1288 has invited the blind veterans in rehab at Hines Hospital to come to the Bolingbrook Village hall for a barbecue on tonight.

The veterans will also enjoy the weekly village concert, starring the 101st Rock Division. a great band that travels the world entertaining troops, firefighters, and other service groups.  Come by and say hi (and thanks) to the veterans.

3. Chamber Welcomes New Dental Office

will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Serene Dental to the community. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1705 W. Boughton Rd.

4. 

The Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra will hold auditions at the Oremus Fine Arts Center on the Lewis University main campus.

MYSO has openings in all sections of the orchestra (violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone and percussion).

Auditions will be open high school students and advanced middle school instrumentalists who study with a private teacher.

Players who want to join the orchestra should be prepared to play a solo, scales and to sight-read.

The orchestra rehearses Wednesday evenings during the school year at Lewis. It will perform six concerts during the 2011-2012 season at Lewis, Joliet Junior College and the Bicentennial Park in Joliet.
