1. Frankfort Nursery Accepting Sid's Bucks

2. Library Looking to fill Administrative Positions

The is currently recruiting candidates for the open administrative assistant and deputy director positions. 

Library director Paul Mills and staff have begun interviewing several candidates and hopes to have both positions filled. 

3. Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Appoints New CFO

 announced last week the appointment of Mike Murrill to vice president/chief financial officer, effective July 31. Murrill had been finance manager at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital since 2008. Both hospitals are part of Adventist Midwest Health.

Murrill has worked within Adventist Health System for nine years, starting as a resident in the two-year administrative residency program at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colo. Upon completion of the program, he worked for three years in business operations for the perioperative services department. He then worked as finance manager at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colo., before coming to work in Illinois.

“Mike is a strategic finance manager and skilled advisor,” said Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Chief Executive Officer Rick Mace. “His natural charisma and team-building style makes him a fitting addition to our hospital’s executive team.”

4. Will County Announces Mobile Workforce September Schedule

Will County’s Mobile Workforce Center has announced its September schedule.

The Workforce Services Division mobile unit travels throughout Will County to help residents with resume development, cover letters, and job applications. The traveling workforce center contains 11 computer stations, high speed internet, and provides keyboarding lessons, as well as resume and job search assistance.

MWC travels to five locations throughout the County, with each assigned a weekday that carries through the month. The route is designed to make it easy for job seekers to find the County-owned vehicle.

The Mobile Workforce Center will be at Bolingbrook IDES, 321 Quadrangle Drive, Bolingbrook, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays with the exception of Sept. 5. MWC will be closed that day in observance of Labor Day.

On Tuesdays, it will provide service from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. at the main entrance to Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park.

It will be at Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. each Wednesday.

Wilmington City Hall, 1165 S. Water St., Wilmington, will host MWC from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. every Thursday in September.

Every Friday, the unit will be at Frankfort Township Office, 11000 W. Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh, who oversees Workforce Services, encourages job seekers to take advantage of the service, which is offered at no cost to County residents.
