1. Bolingbrook Girls Basketball Stars Head to Chile

Ariel Massengale and Morgan Tuck, who both helped the Lady Raiders win a  in March, were named to the USA Basketball Women's U19 World Championship Team in June and will be competing in the world championships in Chile from beginning Thursday in Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas.

2. BHS Alum Starring in Chicago Play

Rachel Klippel, a graduate, is currently starring as the mother in Emerald City Theatre's revival of its hit musical production of “Pinkalicious.” 

“I studied opera partly because U of I didn't have a music theater program at the time,” Klippel told the Daily Herald.

5. Police and Fire Board, Plan Commission Meeting Canceled

The village's Police and Fire Board meeting, which was scheduled for tonight, and the Plan Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday have both been canceled, according to the village's community calendar.

The Police and Fire Board will meet next on Aug. 1. The Plan Commission will meet next on Aug. 3.
