1. New Fitness Center Coming to Bolingbrook?

A new fitness center called The Art of Yoga could be coming to Bolingbrook soon.

The village's plan commission will meet tonight to consider allowing a special use permit to allow the center to occupy a space at 128 E. Boughton Rd., in the same shopping center as .

2. Bolingbrook Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison

A Bolingbrook man was sentenced to 12 years in prison last week for the stabbing death of an 18-year-old from Naperville, according to a Herald-News report

Cortez Branch, 23, pleaded guilty in March to second-degree murder. Police said he stabbed Michael Fairbanks in the chest in November 2008 near Keats Avenue and Falkner Drive in the Will County portion of Naperville. Neuqua Valley High School student Fairbanks died four days later.

Head over to the Fountaindale Public Library to design and decorate your very own crazy cookie crowns using easy-to-find products. The event is geared toward teens and runs from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Creativity Park at the library.
