1. Grove Dental Bringing Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl Champion to Town

is celebrating the opening of its newest office with an open house, featuring a meet-and-greet with Shaun Gayle, a member of the Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl-winning team.

The open house will be from noon to 4 p.m., July 10 at 160 E. Boughton Road (the same shopping plaza as Portillo's). Gayle will be available between noon and 2 p.m.

2. G&W Officially Moves to Bolingbrook

G&W Electric has completed its purchase of a 350,000-square-foot industrial building on Bolingbrook's west side.

Village officials in June, for the company. G&W, an international designer of electrical systems that has powered such high-profile buildings such as the Kennedy Space Center, Harvard University and MIT, was already taking advantage of a $5.6 million tax incentive from the state and $24 million worth of bonds from Will County.

Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar said G&W will bring more than 300 jobs to the Bolingbrook-area. G&W was based in Blue Island.

The move to Bolingbrook will afford the company almost double the amount of space. The company has indicated it will be expanding its operation and hiring in the Bolingbrook area.

Claar said the move was "a mayor's dream,” during his State of the Village address in January.

“The Village of Bolingbrook is very excited to see such a high quality company locate their new corporate headquarters to the area and bring approximately 320 jobs,” said Wabick in a release. “G&W primarily chose the building due to its location with easy expressway access, close proximity to several amenities including hotels, restaurants, O’Hare International Airport, Midway Airport as well as the city of Chicago.”
