1. Bolingbrook to Get a New Sub Shop?

Good news for sandwich fans—a new sub shop appears set to move into a space on Bolingbrook's west side. 

Jersey Mike's Subs has a "Coming Soon" sign above an office spot just a few doors down from Nancy's Pizzeria. Also in that strip mall is Oberweis Ice Cream and Verizon Wireless.

Jersey Mike's, according to its website, offers top choice Angus Beef on its sandwiches, trimmed and cooked in-store. Their bread is fresh-baked each day on the premises everything’s prepared right in front of you.

2. Dad's a Man. Men Love Meat.

The 2011 Chicago Marathon on Oct. 9 may be sold out, but l through the event’s charity partner, the American Cancer Society.

By joining the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation program, Marathon athletes can dedicate their training and participation in the event to the fight against cancer and raise critically needed funds to help the Society expand cancer research and support those facing cancer.
